Opening, using and closing your account.
Choose Sign up, then enter an email address, a username (3–20 letters, numbers or underscores), a password of at least 8 characters, your date of birth and your country of residence, and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You must be 18 or older. The account is ready immediately; while the site is in demo mode it starts with a $1,000.00 demo balance.
No. One account per person, registered in your own name. Duplicate accounts are closed and any bonuses or winnings connected with them can be voided under the Terms. If you have lost access to your original account, contact support rather than opening a new one.
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page and enter your account email. If an account exists we email a link to choose a new password. The link works once and expires after 60 minutes, and using it signs you out on every device. For security the on-screen message is the same whether or not the address is registered. If you no longer have access to your email, contact support from another address and we will verify your identity before making changes.
Display name and marketing preferences are under Settings. Your email address, legal name and date of birth form part of your verified identity, so changes to those go through support with supporting documents. Your username cannot be changed.
You can close your account from Settings or by asking support. Withdraw any balance first if you can; if verification is outstanding we hold the funds for you until it is completed. Closing an account does not end a self-exclusion, and anti-money-laundering law requires us to keep certain records for five years afterwards (see the Privacy Policy).
The site is currently running in demo mode. Every new account is credited with $1,000.00 of demo credits, and when your balance drops below $50.00 the wallet offers to add another $1,000.00.
Demo credits have no monetary value: they cannot be withdrawn, transferred or converted, and winnings made with them are not payable. Everything else — the game, the provably fair verifier, the limits — works exactly as it will at launch, which is the point.
Identity checks (KYC) and why we ask for them.
Our licence and anti-money-laundering law require us to confirm who our customers are, that they are old enough to gamble and where they live. Verification also protects you: it stops someone else withdrawing from your account. The full rules are in the AML & KYC Policy.
There are three levels. Level 1 is your registration details. Level 2 (identity documents) is required before your first withdrawal, when your deposits reach our due-diligence threshold, or if we ask. Level 3 (source of funds) applies when enhanced due diligence is triggered, for example by high volumes or a risk indicator. Your current level is shown on the Verification page.
One government-issued photo ID — passport, national identity card or driving licence (front and back for cards) — plus a proof of address dated within the last three months, such as a utility bill or bank statement.
Upload JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC or PDF files up to 10 MB each. Documents must be in colour, unexpired, fully legible and show all four corners.
We aim to review submissions within 24 hours. Your status moves from pending to verified or rejected, and we email you either way. If a submission is rejected the reason is shown on the Verification page and you can resubmit with corrected documents.
Verification data is stored securely, restricted to trained staff, and kept for the period the law requires (at least five years after your account closes). In the current demo build the document files themselves are not retained — only the document type, file name and review outcome are recorded. See the Privacy Policy.
Crypto banking, confirmations, conversion and fees.
Cryptocurrency only: Bitcoin (BTC, Bitcoin); Ethereum (ETH, Ethereum (ERC-20)); Tether (USDT, Tron (TRC-20)); USD Coin (USDC, Ethereum (ERC-20)); Litecoin (LTC, Litecoin); Solana (SOL, Solana). We do not accept cards, bank transfers or e-wallets. Your balance is always held in US dollars.
Not yet. Crypto deposits and withdrawals open at launch. Demo balances are in use until then. The Wallet shows the current status, and the addresses displayed there are placeholders — do not send funds to them.
Each asset has a minimum deposit shown in the Wallet (from $10). Withdrawals have a minimum of $20.00. You pay the network fee on deposits; on withdrawals the network fee, and any processing fee shown in the cashier, is deducted from the amount sent. Fees are displayed before you confirm.
Once approved, withdrawals are normally broadcast within 24 hours. Approval requires Level 2 verification, completion of any bonus wagering, and any anti-money-laundering review our policy requires. Large amounts may be paid in instalments. Blockchain confirmation time then depends on the network.
Wherever possible we return funds to the wallet they came from (a “closed loop”). Withdrawing to a new address requires proof that you control it and may be subject to additional review. We never pay withdrawals to third parties, exchange accounts not in your name, or addresses that fail screening.
Contact support immediately with the transaction hash. Recovery depends on the asset and network involved and is not always technically possible; where it is, a recovery fee may apply. Always double-check the asset, network and address before sending.
How the game plays, what it pays and what it costs.
You post equal Ante and Blind bets and may add an optional Trips side bet. You and the dealer each get two hole cards; the dealer's stay face down. Before the flop you can Check or Bet 3x or 4x the Ante. After the flop, if you have not bet, Check or Bet 2x. After the turn and river, if you still have not bet, Bet 1x or Fold. Best five of seven cards wins.
The full rules, paytables and a basic strategy are on the Game Rules page.
Ante from $1 to $250 (the Blind always equals the Ante) and Trips from $1 to $100. Before dealing, your balance must cover Ante + Blind + Trips plus a 1x Play bet, so you can never be dealt into a hand you cannot finish.
The dealer needs at least a pair to qualify. If you beat a dealer who does not qualify, your Play bet is paid 1:1 but the Ante pushes (is returned) instead of winning. If the dealer does qualify and you win, the Ante pays 1:1 too. If the dealer wins without qualifying, your Ante pushes and your Blind and Play lose.
The Blind pays only when you win and hold a straight or better: Royal Flush 500:1, Straight Flush 50:1, Four of a Kind 10:1, Full House 3:1, Flush 3:2, Straight 1:1. With a weaker winning hand the Blind pushes. If you lose, the Blind loses.
Trips pays on your own best five-card hand regardless of what the dealer has — even if you fold. Three of a Kind 3:1, Straight 4:1, Flush 7:1, Full House 8:1, Four of a Kind 30:1, Straight Flush 40:1, Royal Flush 50:1. Anything below three of a kind loses. The house edge on Trips with this paytable is 3.50%.
You lose the Ante and Blind; no Play bet is placed. Your Trips bet, if any, stays live and is settled on your seven cards. Folding is only ever correct on the river, and only when your hand is very weak — the strategy section on the rules page explains when.
With optimal play the published house edge is about 2.19% of the Ante, which works out to roughly 0.53% of the total money you put in action (the “element of risk”) because of the larger Play bets. Our own 400,000-hand simulation of the built-in strategy advisor returned 2.29% of the Ante. Trips carries a 3.50% edge. These figures are published on the rules page and match the settlement code exactly.
Nothing is lost. The hand lives on our servers; when you reopen the table it resumes exactly where it was, with the same cards. Stakes already placed remain at risk and are settled by the normal rules when you finish the hand.
Yes. During a hand at the single-player table, Get a hint shows the recommended decision for the current street with a one-line reason. Hints are worked out on our server and, because they lower the house edge, they are limited to 5 hints per hour, counted over a rolling 60-minute window. The button shows how many you have left and, once they are used, when the next one becomes available.
Asking again on the same street of the same hand repeats the recommendation without using another hint. Hints are only available while a hand is in progress. The complete strategy is published free of charge on the Game Rules page.
Hand History lists every hand of every game — Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Blackjack and the live tables — with stakes, decisions, the cards, each bet's result and the seed data needed to verify it. Filter by game at the top of the list; completed hands can be replayed and verified from there.
Rules, options, insurance and how the shoe is shuffled.
Place a bet from $1 to $250. You receive two cards face up; the dealer receives one card face up and one face down (the hole card). Cards 2–10 count at face value, J, Q and K count 10, and an Ace counts 11 or 1 — a hand with an Ace counted as 11 is “soft”. Take cards (Hit) or keep your total (Stand); go over 21 and the hand loses at once.
The dealer then reveals the hole card and draws to 17 or more, standing on soft 17. The higher total wins 1 to 1, ties push, and a dealer bust pays every hand still in play. An Ace with a ten-value card as your first two cards is a blackjack and pays 3 to 2. Full rules are on the Blackjack rules page.
You may double on any first two cards, including after a split: the stake on that hand is doubled and you receive exactly one more card. You may split a pair — two cards of the same rank, or any two ten-value cards — once, into two hands with a stake each; each hand receives a second card and is played in turn. Split Aces receive one card each and cannot be hit, and 21 on a split hand counts as 21, not blackjack. Surrender is not offered. Doubling and splitting require a balance that covers the extra stake.
When the dealer's up-card is an Ace you are offered insurance before the dealer checks the hole card. It costs half your bet and pays 2 to 1 if the dealer has blackjack; otherwise it is lost. With an Ace or a ten-value card showing, the dealer checks for blackjack before you act: if it is there, the round ends at once, your hand loses (a blackjack of your own pushes) and insurance, if taken, is paid.
Insurance is a separate bet on the hole card and carries a higher house edge than the main game, so basic strategy never takes it. The choice is always yours.
With these rules — six decks, dealer stands on soft 17, double after split, one split, no surrender, blackjack 3 to 2 — and basic strategy, the house edge is about 0.45% of your bet. Our own multi-million-round simulation of the production engine agrees. Deviating from basic strategy, or taking insurance, increases it.
Every round is dealt from a fresh six-deck shoe of 312 cards derived from your own seed pair — the committed server seed, your client seed and the next nonce — with the same algorithm as a single deck, only a longer shuffle. Nothing carries over between rounds, so counting cards has no effect for anyone.
Cards are dealt in a fixed order: your first card, the dealer's up-card, your second card, the hole card, then every hit, double, split card and dealer draw in turn. The hole card stays on our server until the dealer's turn. After rotating your seed, open the round in Hand History and choose Verify this round to re-derive the whole shoe in the verifier.
Nothing is lost. The round is held on our servers and resumes exactly where it was when you reopen the table, with the same cards. Hitting, standing and declining insurance are always free, so an open round can be finished even if your balance has since changed.
Seats, betting windows, timers, showing cards and shared-deck fairness.
Live Ultimate Texas Hold'em seats up to 5 players at one table. Everyone receives their own hole cards and places their own bets, and every seat plays against the same dealer hand and the same board. The rules and paytables are exactly those of the single-player game, and each seat is settled against the dealer independently.
Tables: Main Floor (Ante $1–$100, Trips up to $50); High Limit (Ante $25–$250, Trips up to $100). Choose one from the live lobby.
Pick a free seat. You can hold one seat at a time, at one table. Between rounds, place your Ante (the Blind always matches it) and an optional Trips bet. The betting window closes 25 seconds after the first bet on the table, or 5 seconds after everyone seated has bet if that is sooner. As at the single-player table, your balance must cover Ante, Blind and Trips plus a 1x Play bet. A seated player who does not bet sits that round out; a seat left idle for 3 rounds in a row is released.
Each decision street has a 20-second clock shared by the table. If it runs out before the flop or on the flop, you check. On the river a missed decision is a fold: Ante and Blind are lost and Trips is still settled on your hand. The table warns you as the river clock runs down, and the same rules apply if you lose your connection mid-hand. The hand is settled and recorded in your history either way.
Because nobody at the table plays against anyone else. Every seat is paid against the dealer only, so seeing another player's cards cannot change what you win or lose. During the pre-flop, flop and river decisions you may show your first card, your second card or both. At the showdown every seat's cards and the dealer's are turned face up, and your hand history records what each seat showed.
Each table has its own server seed whose SHA-256 hash is displayed at the table before it deals. The client seed for a round is the SHA-256 of the round id and the client seeds of every player dealt in, in seat order — so every seated player contributes to the shuffle. The round id is the table id, the table seed hash and the round counter, all public before the deal, so nothing about the shuffle is left for us to choose once the players are known. The deck then comes from the same algorithm as every other game.
A table seed deals 200 rounds and is then retired and revealed. From that point each hand's detail page links to the verifier's Live table mode, which re-derives every seat's cards, the dealer and the board.
How the shuffle works and how to check it yourself.
Every deck is computed from three inputs: a secret server seed (we publish its SHA-256 hash in advance), a client seed you can set, and a nonce that counts hands. Because the hash is committed before you choose your client seed, we cannot pick a server seed to suit your input; because you control the client seed, we cannot predict the deck. When you rotate seeds we reveal the server seed and you can recompute every hand it dealt. The full algorithm is on the Provably Fair page.
Yes, and no. You can edit the client seed on your active pair at any time between hands (1–64 letters, digits, hyphens or underscores). Doing so never generates a new server seed — that only happens on rotation, and the next server seed's hash is already shown to you before you rotate. This ordering is what stops an operator from grinding seeds against a known client seed.
A counter starting at 0 for each seed pair and increasing by one per hand. It is written into the HMAC message as plain digits, so the same seeds produce a different deck for every hand and every hand can be reproduced independently.
Yes. The specification uses standard primitives (HMAC-SHA256, a fixed byte-to-float conversion and a Fisher–Yates shuffle) and is published with frozen test vectors, so it can be re-implemented in any language. If your implementation reproduces the vectors, it will reproduce our decks.
The deck is fixed the instant the nonce is consumed, before any card is shown, and it is recorded with the hand. Nothing you or we do afterwards can change it. The dealer's hole cards are never sent to your browser until the hand is resolved, so they cannot be read from your device either.
Limits, breaks and self-exclusion.
A deposit limit, a rolling 24-hour loss limit and a rolling 24-hour wager limit (each from $1), plus a session limit of 15–720 minutes and a reality check every 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes. Reductions apply immediately and are enforced on our servers before any stake is accepted. At real-money launch, raising or removing a limit takes effect only after a 24-hour cooling-off period; the settings page tells you when this applies. Manage them under Responsible Gambling.
A message at the interval you choose (60 minutes by default) showing how long you have been playing and your net result for the session. At the single-player tables play waits until you acknowledge it. A live table is shared, so its betting window and decision clocks keep running while the message is on screen: answer it promptly, because a missed river decision is a fold. It cannot be turned off, only set to a different interval.
A 24-hour break blocks play immediately but keeps you signed in so you can still use your account. Self-exclusion — 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 6 months or permanent — requires you to type a confirmation, ends every session and cannot be lifted early by you or by our staff. During either, you can sign in to withdraw and to view your history, and you receive no marketing.
No. It is final, and we take reasonable steps to stop you opening another account. If you are considering it, our Responsible Gambling page has a private self-assessment and links to free, confidential support.
We cannot discuss another person's account with you, but we take concerns seriously: tell us at support@justpoker.example and we will review the account under our player-protection procedures. The organisations listed on the Responsible Gambling page also support family members and friends.
Keeping your account and data safe.
Only as a salted bcrypt hash. We never store or see the password itself, and our staff cannot retrieve it — which is why a forgotten password can only be reset, not recovered. Use a long, unique password and a password manager.
Signing in sets one HTTP-only cookie (jp_session) that lasts 30 days or until you sign out. We record the time and device of each sign-in. From Settings you can end every session on every device at once — do this immediately if you suspect someone else has access. It also cancels any password reset link we have emailed you, as does changing your password.
Not yet. Authenticator-app two-factor authentication arrives with real-money launch, when it will be required for withdrawals and security changes; the switch in Settings is shown but disabled until then. In the meantime use a unique password and, if you suspect someone else has access, end every session from Settings and change your password.
We only email from addresses ending in @justpoker.example, we never ask for your password or wallet keys, and we never send deposit addresses by email or chat — they appear only in your Wallet after you sign in. If in doubt, do not click; open the site directly and check your account.
Account, verification, transaction, gameplay, responsible-gambling and device data — listed in full in the Privacy Policy. You can request a copy at any time. Deletion is available except for the records anti-money-laundering law requires us to keep for five years; those are restricted, not used for anything else, and deleted when the period ends.
